Owner: University of Texas System Location: Houston, Texas Design/Build Contractor: Vaughn Construction Completion Date: 2011 Electrical Contract Value: $52,000,000 Schmidt Electric is proud to be an integral part of the team of professionals involved in the largest building project currently under construction in the Houston area. The facility consists of 1,347,000 SF of office, data center, and administrative areas. The main structure involves a 26 floor, tiered, “Type A” office tower including a 21,000 SF data center. In keeping with a continued tradition of “Green Building” the facility will seek LEED certification. |
Safety
Schmidt Electric Co., Inc. utilizes a proactive safety program based on accident awareness and prevention. Our comprehensive safety program is led by Kenneth Paninski, Schmidt Electric's full-time Safety Director from Engineering Safety Consultants. Kenneth is well versed in the latest safe work practices and OSHA regulations.
As Safety Director, Kenneth Paninski, performs tasks including but not limited to:
- New Employee Training
- Heavy Equipment Certification
- Weekly Jobsite Safety Inspections
- Weekly "Tool Box" Talks
Engineering Safety Consultants also provides classroom training on the following topics:
- Electrical Lockout/Tag Out
- Confined Space
- Trenching/Excavation
- Fall Protection
- Scissor Lift
- Forklift
- OSHA-10
- OSHA-30
- NFPA 70E
