Owner: St. David's Healthcare & HCA Location: Austin, Texas General Contractor: DPR Construction Inc. Completion Date: April, 2009 Electrical Contract Amount: $ 7,500,000.00 This Project included a 175,000 SF, new three-level patient tower, as well as a 23,000 SF renovation to the existing hospital that included vertical and horizontal expansion to the center, with surgery centers and medical offices. Schmidt Electric played a key role in creating Building Information Modeling (BIM) drawings, which allowed each trade to view the existing & new underground work in 3D. SEC's BIM details were accurately modeled electronically, potential clashes were avoided, resulting in a higher level of quality. |
